About the Event

Some of life's most exciting moments were spontaneous, impromptu, unrehearsed and sometimes unexpected. Yet, the excitement was immeasurable and the moment so memorable. Well, we are going to adopt this same approach as we record our first album-single!

As part of a global community project, Strike-A-Chord Birmingham is organising the Lagos edition of Community Singalong which will be recorded LIVE as an album-single; and we want you and your family to be part of it! This exciting project combines the spirit of community, the warmth of togetherness and the therapeutic power of singing to bring individuals, families and the community together and have fun.

Strike-A-Chord is a not-for-profit music-making project based in Birmingham, England. Our fun-filled and uplifting programmes include Keyboard Lessons for the Over-50's, Community Choir, African Percussions Clinic, Neighbourhood Music-Making for Families, Worship Masterclass and now the album-recording of our Community Singalong. You can learn more about our activities by clicking here Our non-music programmes can be viewed here

This exciting adventure comes with a powerful life-lesson for our children, our families and our community: anything is possible! And so, this is the "Choir of Possibilities" ... seizing the moment and making it a monument.

Written, composed and arranged by Samuel Jonathan, "Sing of His Goodness" is the perfect Singalong. It is so simple to sing, no words to memorise and inspirational enough to "carry" everyone along. And guess what? Your name will be acknowledged on the album!

Samuel is the Founder of the Strike-A-Chord music-making project. He served as Music Director of the much-acclaimed Over-50's Christmas Concert (held last year) and has been featured on BBC four times in the last 5 months.

Admission is FREE and no singing experience is required! However, registration is mandatory so that you can obtain your ticket for the event.

If you are unable to attend the February 20 but interested in participting, we admonish you to still go ahead and sign-up and obtain your ticket. Your ticket will be valid for all locations in Lagos. Additionally, when you register, we will be able to notify you of future dates. Alternatively, if your church, neighbourhood or organisation is interested in hosting a bespoke edition of the Community Singalong, send us an email and we will explore the possibilities of making it happen. Emails are often replied within minutes!
