Preparation Tips

Devote 4 minutes each day to practice each song with the dance steps. The daily routine will help the dance steps become "second nature". Combining dancing and singing becomes easier because you practice them each day.

Please take care of your voice by avoiding cold beverages and cold food items such as ice cream. Consider squeezing lemon and lime, along with honey into hot water. The transformational and soothing outcome on the voice is phenomenal. Please consult your doctor if you feel the need to obtain medical advice. Also abstain if you are allergic to any of the aforementioned food items.

Each day and throughout the course of the days leading to any of our performances, consider saying to yourself "I am going to enjoy myself. I am going to have a good time". This process of self-talk (or affirmation) has a very empowering influence. It helps take off the pressure of impressing the audience (or avoiding mistakes) and converts anxiety into excitement (because you have made up your mind to enjoy yourself).
